The bloom season concentrates between mid-August and late September each year; actual flowering conditions vary with rainfall and temperature, so checking up-to-date local reports before visiting is recommended. From the summit observation deck, the coastline and the blue horizon of the Pacific stretch out in full view.

During the bloom season, different daylily varieties flower in succession along the hiking trails, displaying varying shades of orange and yellow. Farmhouses partway up the mountain sell daylily-related processed goods — such as daylily pork rib soup and dried daylilies — which make good souvenirs. Getting There & Time

By car: Head south from Taitung City on Provincial Highway 9 to Taimali town center, then turn onto the Daylily Mountain farm road. Total journey approximately 50 minutes.
Public transport: There is no direct bus to the summit from Taimali town center. Self-driving or chartering a vehicle is recommended.
During the bloom season (August–September), weekends see heavier traffic. Visiting on a weekday or leaving early in the morning is advised to avoid crowds.

Nearby Connections

After descending, you can head to Taimali town center or Jinlun Hot Springs, approximately 20 to 30 minutes by car.
Heading north on Highway 9 for about 1 hour connects to Taitung City, linking to Beinan Cultural Park, Taitung Forest Park, and other attractions.
