The park is near the Guanshan Rice Country School (an agricultural experience venue) and the two can be combined for a deeper look at Rift Valley rice farming culture.

The Guanshan cycling loop extends from the park through surrounding farmland and riverbanks for about 12 km, mostly on farm roads with gentle gradients. Along the way, the open views of the Central Mountain Range ridgeline and Rift Valley farmland are expansive. Rest shelters are spaced along the cycling route, making it suitable for families with children.
