Yong'an Fishing Harbor is located on the Taiwan Strait coast of Xinwu District. The harbor area has a conch shell cultural experience park and fishing village ecology display facilities. Because it lies on the western coast along the path of migratory bird passage, the surrounding wetlands and windbreak forests provide diverse habitat for coastal birds. It is the main coastal tourism hub in Xinwu District and one of the few harbors on the Taoyuan west coast that offers both cultural and ecological dimensions.

Highlights of Yong'an Fishing Harbor

Yong'an Fishing Harbor is the main fishing port in Xinwu District. The harbor is smaller in scale than Zhuwai Fishing Harbor and retains a stronger fishing village atmosphere. The harbor area has a conch shell cultural experience park displaying local artifacts themed around Xinwu's coastal fishing culture, presenting records of traditional fishing methods and coastal life. The fishing village ecology display facilities explain the marine ecology around the harbor, with families and children as the primary audience.

Due to Yong'an Harbor's location on Taiwan's western coastal migratory bird corridor, the surrounding wetlands and windbreak forests attract various migratory birds passing through in autumn and winter (approximately October to March of the following year). Common coastal bird species include various sandpipers, plovers, and herons. The windbreak forest is primarily Casuarina (Casuarina equisetifolia), and when northeast monsoon winds are strong in winter it becomes the best field for tracking migratory birds.
