Getting there and time needed

  • From central Tainan, driving yourself takes about 50 minutes. Head north along Provincial Highway 17 to Jiangjun District, or enter from the Xuejia direction. Self-driving is recommended as public bus service is sparse.
  • The harbor is open all day. Fish market activity is concentrated in the early morning to late morning. Specific activity times for the seafood festival and other events must be checked in current announcements.

  • Qigu Lagoon is south of Jiangjun Fishing Harbor, about a 20-minute drive. Combining both creates a one-day coastal ecology and fishery itinerary.
