Tongsiao fresh milk refers broadly to the raw and processed dairy products from dairy farms in Tongsiao Township. The main breed is the Holstein cow. With low elevation, a mild climate, and a stable grass supply, Tongsiao is well-suited for dairy farming. Local dairy households milk their cows before dawn each day and ship the milk to processing plants for pasteurization and packaging; some farms have their own on-site processing areas and sell freshly milked milk, yogurt, cheese, and pudding directly at the farm.
