Duoli Tribe sits on the western slopes of the Coastal Range along Provincial Highway 11, facing the Pacific Ocean. It is an important Amis community on the southern side of Chenggong Township. The Coastal Range ridgeline rises behind the community while an expansive Pacific view opens in front; the East Coast National Scenic Area Administration has established a visitor service center here, making it a key tourism hub along the central section of the East Coast.

Highlights of Duoli Coast

Duoli Tribe is located at kilometer markers 161 to 163 on Provincial Highway 11. The settlement faces the sea from the hillside, with the Coastal Range providing a natural barrier behind it. On clear days the Pacific in front displays a vivid deep blue, with the sky and ocean blending seamlessly — one of the most representative views along the Provincial Highway 11 stretch of the East Coast. The East Coast National Scenic Area Administration has set up a visitor center here, offering travel information and interpretation services for the East Coast.

Duoli Tribe is an Amis (Amis) community. The Amis are the most populous indigenous group in Taiwan, known for their traditional age-grade system and the Ilisin harvest festival. The Ilisin is typically held each year between July and August, the most important annual ceremony of the community, in which tribal members express gratitude to heaven and earth for the harvest through traditional song and dance. Observers should maintain respect: do not join the dance circle uninvited, and follow the arrangements made by the community.
